As you know, I just started working at a new place. I find it o.k. and I don’t want to further comment about environment here. I able to adjust myself with the surrounding and I can adapt with the working culture. So far, no ‘ragging’ has been conducted on me and I can get along with several colleagues which I know from the first day I joined. After completing several assignments, I received a much unexpected ‘wake up’ call from my ex-colleague last week offering me to work in her company which is not far from my current workplace….so what should I do? Should I jump into bandwagon and go for the best, or just forgo the opportunity?
To be clear let me share some story about my current boss. He is my ex-boss in my former company (FC). He left my FC in 2007 and joined other foreign company. Then, he has been offered to join the current company with the good pay and position. So, he wants me to join his team in the current company. So I join….The ex-colleague who offers me the job is his best friend at FC. Both of them always go out for lunch together. Back to my story, should I accept the offer or let it be?....One of my best friend advised me not to jeopardize myself..It effects working relationship and most importantly, your trust…maybe, if I took the offer, my current boss would not belief me at all after this….which for me very worst moment in my life when a person distrust you..
So I need a moment to think and ponder about this. Perhaps, I should do some assessment good or bad the impact of accepting this offer. What do you think?
