What is the moral of the film Princess Diaries? If you asked me, I think is follow your heart and gut feeling. It is simple and yet very meaningful. I just finished watching this 'not too old and too new' movie at Disney channel and I enjoyed it. I watched it so many times but it still entertains me. The storyline is straight forward and easy to understand. I guess this movie is meant for kids to watch since it shows in Disney channel.
Let me summarise the movie in a very short and precise manner. It is exactly like Cinderella except the step mom and the step sister part. The story begins when Mia Thermopolis (acted by Anne Hathaway) realises that she is a royalty after meeting her grandmother. This movie is the 1st movie for Anne Hathaway after she starred in series 'Get Real'. She is very good in expressing herself as 'freak' and 'dumb' in this movie and subsequently changing herself to another side of her that is more sophisticated and elegant (but she still maintains the 'freakyness' throughout the movie). I like her performance in this movie and I'm not surprise if she can win Academy Award in the future.
